If you found yourself slightly tongue-tied, searching for the correct pronunciation of my last name, you’re not alone–it happens frequently. Phonetically, my last name is pronounced “we”–exactly like the English word for “you and I.” Simple, right?

My journey into the world of visual arts began in a place where you wouldn’t expect: as an electrical engineering student studying at Penn State.

Wait a second, Electrical Engineering?

Yes, engineering… not photography.

While engineering and photography have seemingly little in common, at its core, engineering is a skill of both technical and creative problem-solving: composing beautiful solutions to accomplish a goal. The same skills are utilized in creating truly unique photos and videos.

For over six years I been shooting photos and producing videos for individuals, couples, incredibly talented dancers, and musicians in York, PA. I have also shot photos for an award-winning photography and videography studio in Baltimore, MD. Additionally, my electrical engineer education has enhanced my photography and videography skills. Spending countless hours studying the engineering physics of the world has revealed to me the beauty in not only light, life, and nature, but many parts all working together as a system. Similarly, creating a well-lit work of movement requires controlling many forms and types of light. This all translates into capturing products, stories, and people with breathtaking photos and videos!
